General Store Manager

About the role

Navs Grocery is seeking a proactive General Store Manager to lead its Toronto location. The role involves overseeing all daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth in a competitive grocery market.

Key responsibilities

• Direct, control and evaluate daily store operations, including merchandising, pricing, and inventory management.
• Plan and organise budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and adjust strategies to meet financial targets.
• Recruit, hire, train and supervise staff; conduct performance reviews and schedule staffing to meet demand.
• Analyse market research and trends to determine consumer demand and adjust product mix.
• Negotiate with suppliers, manage stock levels, and resolve supply shortages.
• Develop and implement marketing, advertising and sales strategies to increase foot traffic and sales.
• Handle customer requests, complaints and ensure a high‑quality store environment.

Required profile

• College, CEGEP or comparable non‑university diploma (1‑2 years).
• 2–3 years of experience in supermarket or grocery store management.
• Strong adaptability, goal‑orientation, organization and ability to multitask.
• Collaborative team player with a focus on efficiency.
