Associate Director of Events

About the role

The Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts is seeking an Associate Director of Events to lead sales and business development for its 2,000‑seat venue. Reporting to the General Manager, the role focuses on expanding the Centre’s event portfolio, building new market opportunities, and delivering high‑value experiences for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the sales and business development strategy for the Centre’s events business.
• Identify, pursue, and convert new market opportunities, third‑party rentals, and partnership deals.
• Lead the Events team, providing coaching, performance management, and fostering a high‑service culture.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal partners to ensure seamless event planning and delivery.
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and revenue reporting for the events department.
• Work occasional evenings and weekends to support event execution.

• Proven track record in sales and business development within the events, venue, or performing‑arts sector.
• Strong industry network and ability to cultivate new client relationships.
• Strategic and financial acumen to translate opportunities into sustainable revenue growth.
• Leadership experience managing a team and delivering high‑quality client service.
