Residence Worker – Permanent Part‑Time (Union)

About the role

The Residence Worker provides direct care and support to individuals living in the Campbell Residence group home. The role involves implementing each resident’s program and ensuring their physical, social, educational and health needs are met.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver daily care and support to residents, following organizational policies, procedures and philosophy.
• Implement and monitor each resident’s individualized program, addressing physical, social, educational and health goals.
• Advocate for residents and families to obtain needed services and teach self‑advocacy skills.

Required profile

• Community Support Worker Certificate (or equivalent) with at least three months experience in a similar group‑home setting.
• Valid First Aid, CPR and Food Safe certificates, a Class 5 driver’s licence (Class 4 preferred) and access to a personal vehicle.
• Positive role model who demonstrates empathy, warmth and the ability to work effectively with families, staff and volunteers.

Required skills

• Knowledge of community‑living theory, values and support systems.
• Ability to safely perform lifts and transfers of clients.

What we offer

• $500 hiring incentive paid after successful completion of the three‑month probationary period.
• Permanent part‑time union position with a defined shift schedule (weekends 7 am‑1 pm, weekdays 4 pm‑9 pm).
