About the role
The Centre for Health Education Scholarship (CHES) at the University of British Columbia is seeking a part‑time Research Assistant/Technician to support a principal investigator and co‑investigators. The role involves primary data collection, data entry, and literature review tasks, with flexible hours and the ability to work remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Correspond with research participants, schedule interviews, and gather data.
- Verify the accuracy of interview transcripts.
- Enter data into databases and conduct preliminary analyses.
- Perform literature searches, screen studies, and assist with article reviews.
- Maintain and secure data files in compliance with ethics protocols and university policies.
- Provide general administrative and logistical support to the research team as directed by the PI.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow ethical guidelines.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a 10‑12 hour weekly workload.
