Repair and Overhaul Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Repair and Overhaul Technician to join our Fort Erie facility. The role involves assessing incoming components, managing paperwork, and ensuring timely, cost‑effective, high‑quality repair and overhaul operations.

Key responsibilities

• Disassemble components following documented procedures and maintain accurate activity logs.
• Perform visual inspections to detect additional damage and verify component condition.
• Maintain 5S standards in the workspace and tool chests.
• Review repair and overhaul manuals to confirm cycle, life, and calendar limits.
• Execute cleaning processes using varsol, plastic media blasting, and ultrasonic methods while protecting machined surfaces.
• Complete non‑destructive testing (NDT) forms with precise part numbers and testing requirements.
• Update and sign all required paperwork, including the IObeya visual management board.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using height gauges, micrometers, bore gauges, and surface tables.
• Document lifecycle status, time expiration, damage severity, and required repairs.
• Prepare exploratory machining forms and coordinate with external vendors when needed.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret repair and overhaul manuals and documentation systems.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping and inspection reporting.
• Capability to work safely in a 5S‑organized environment.
• Experience following internal and external maintenance standards and regulations.
