Registered Nurse – Geriatric Care

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) at AgeCare Trilogy provides professional nursing care to residents in a long‑term care setting. Working closely with the Director of Care, the RN ensures high‑quality clinical services, supervises support staff, and maintains compliance with provincial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement AgeCare policies and procedures on the neighbourhood and contribute to procedural revisions.
• Liaise with physicians, external health partners, and the interdisciplinary team; promptly report significant changes in resident status.
• Coordinate nursing and allied services for residents, ensuring seamless care delivery.
• Supervise and direct Registered Practical Nurses and Personal Support Workers.
• Lead shift reports, document resident condition changes, and ensure charting meets regulatory standards.
• Review and process physician orders, communicating any issues to senior care leadership.
• Provide first aid to staff, complete incident reports, and oversee medication receipt and administration.

Required profile

• Strong background in geriatric, rehabilitation, or long‑term care nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Current registration and good standing with the provincial nursing regulator.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant federal, provincial and municipal health statutes and regulations.
