Speech Language Pathologist – Community Visits Across Ontario

About the role

Join a compassionate, mission‑driven team delivering community‑based speech and language services across Ontario. You will assess, diagnose and treat adult and pediatric clients with communication and swallowing disorders, working closely with interdisciplinary health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, fluency, voice and swallowing disorders in adult and pediatric clients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, often collaborating with interdisciplinary medical teams.
• Educate patients and families about communication and dysphagia conditions.
• Conduct research and contribute to the development of new diagnostic procedures and devices.
• Instruct and supervise communicative disorders assistants, students and other health‑care professionals.

Required profile

• Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology and current registration with the provincial licensing body.
• Minimum one year of speech‑language pathology experience; community‑health experience preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of speech and swallowing disorders and the equipment used for assessment and treatment.
• Ability to design patient‑centered care plans that fit into patients’ daily lives.
• Excellent communication skills for counseling patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Current Vulnerable Position Screening (VPS) clearance and reliable transportation for multiple daily site visits.
