Recruiter – Coal Mining Operations

About the role

Elk Valley Resources is seeking a proactive Recruiter to join its Coal Central Recruiting and Human Resources teams. You will support hiring initiatives across our four steelmaking coal mines in the Elk Valley, helping to attract top talent for a variety of operational roles.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding, ensuring high‑quality candidate placement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and HR partners.
• Maintain and update the applicant tracking system and related recruitment tools.
• Support the nationwide Campus Recruitment Program at post‑secondary institutions.
• Develop and execute high‑level sourcing strategies, including search engine marketing, print, and online channels.

Required profile

• Excellent problem‑solving, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
• Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to groups.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Demonstrated integrity in handling confidential information.

Required skills

• Experience using computer‑based applicant tracking systems.
• Familiarity with search engine marketing and online sourcing techniques.
