Quality Control Team Lead (Maternity Leave Coverage)

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Control Team Lead to provide maternity‑leave coverage within our Quality Assurance department. The role ensures that all products meet regulatory, internal, and customer requirements while supporting administrative tasks and staff development.

Key responsibilities

• Support the QA Supervisor in training and developing QC Technicians.
• Manage QC paperwork, maintain records, and ensure traceability.
• Coach production staff on quality expectations and follow‑through.
• Monitor finished‑product quality and make compliance decisions.
• Conduct shelf‑life studies, write SOPs, and assist with internal and external audits.
• Communicate quality standards and provide GMP training.

Required profile

• Passionate about quality assurance and willing to champion quality.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven approach.
• Highly organized, meticulous, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communicator who can work with diverse personalities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GFSI standards (BRC, SQF, FSSC 22000) and GMP/Good Laboratory Practices.
• Understanding of HACCP concepts and training.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
