Quality Assurance Specialist (Contingent)

About the role

Kepler Communications is seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to support its satellite manufacturing and production teams. In this contingent position you will ensure that all satellite subsystems meet rigorous quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain robust quality management practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and internal processes.
• Conduct incoming inspections, quarantine defective components, and coordinate with engineering and supply‑chain to resolve non‑conformances.
• Lead investigations of non‑conformance issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Manage part and build quality, perform risk assessments, and support continuous process improvement.
• Provide internal training to embed a culture of quality and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience working closely with development and manufacturing teams in a high‑tech or aerospace environment.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly and train colleagues on quality procedures.

Required skills

• Quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Incoming inspection and non‑conformance handling.
• Root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action implementation.
• Risk mitigation and compliance documentation.
