QA Automation Engineer – Java, Selenium, API, Mobile Testing

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned QA Automation Engineer to join our banking technology team in Toronto. The role is hybrid, with two days per week on‑site, and focuses on building robust automated test solutions for web and mobile applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium, API testing tools and Perfecto for mobile devices.
• Integrate automated tests into multi‑tier architecture projects built on Core Java, Spring MVC, Spring Rest, Spring Batch, Spring Security, Spring Boot, EJB3.0, Web services and containerised platforms.
• Collaborate with development and product teams following Agile, Scrum, Waterfall and hybrid delivery models.
• Perform both manual and automated testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage of banking applications.
• Document test results, defects and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of IT experience in the banking domain.
• 6–8 years of overall testing experience, with strong expertise in Selenium, API testing and mobile automation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
