About the role

The University of British Columbia’s Roskelley Laboratory is seeking a Project Manager to lead and coordinate multi‑site research initiatives in glycoproteomics, antibody‑drug conjugate development, and pre‑clinical therapeutic testing. The role bridges the Life Science Institute, the School of Biomedical Engineering, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the BC Cancer Research Centre, supporting both in‑person and virtual collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage research projects covering glycoproteomic screening, antibody development, and pre‑clinical testing.
• Develop proposals, protocols, work plans and timelines, ensuring alignment with scientific goals.
• Provide guidance, set priorities and monitor progress for project teams across multiple laboratories.
• Coordinate communication, resource allocation and reporting for all stakeholders.
• Train and supervise laboratory users, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Relevant scientific background (e.g., biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology) with demonstrated experience managing research projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff and students across several sites.
• Strong organizational and planning skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines.
