Project Manager III – Learning & Development (Hybrid, Toronto)

About the role

We are seeking a Project Manager III to lead learning and development initiatives for a leading North American financial institution. The role is contract‑based (5 months) with the possibility of extension, and operates on a hybrid schedule in Toronto.

Key responsibilities

• Understand portfolio and program movement, aligning projects with long‑term business priorities.
• Drive L&D processes to deliver in‑person, virtual, eLearning, webinars, and workshop solutions.
• Lead end‑to‑end planning and execution of medium‑to‑high complexity L&D projects, ensuring on‑time, on‑scope, and on‑budget delivery.
• Support vendor selection, engagement, and onboarding for third‑party learning solutions.
• Develop stakeholder engagement strategies and maintain regular communications with internal and external partners.
• Report project progress to teams and senior stakeholders, and manage risks, issues, and governance.
• Conduct retrospectives, apply lessons learned, and stay current with Agile and hybrid project practices.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education.
• 7‑10 years of project management experience.
• Prior L&D experience in performance consulting, design, development, facilitation, or learning technologies is a plus.
• Strong understanding of project management frameworks and methodologies.
• PMP, Agile and/or Scrum certification.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles across delivery methods.
• Proven track record of delivering results in fast‑paced environments.
