Project Manager – Facilities, Repairs & Maintenance

About the role

As a Project Manager for Facilities, Repairs & Maintenance you will lead the planning and execution of maintenance repairs and capital projects across a regional portfolio of buildings and petroleum systems. The position requires extensive travel, with roughly 65% of time spent on‑site supporting project delivery and facility operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage maintenance repair and capital projects through the full lifecycle – from site assessments and scope development to execution, closeout, and reporting.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects while ensuring compliance with company processes, safety standards, industry regulations, and quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and reporting to mitigate risk.
• Receive, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance service requests, monitor vendor performance, and ensure cost‑effective solutions.
• Collaborate with independent dealers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to align projects with Irving branding and operational standards.
• Conduct site visits to inspect workmanship, resolve construction issues, and verify safety controls before work begins.
• Manage project budgets, track spending, and provide regular updates to the Retail Facilities Manager.
• Travel extensively throughout the assigned region to inspect sites, support maintenance activities, and engage with dealers, vendors, and contractors.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing facilities or construction projects, preferably in a multi‑site environment.
• Strong understanding of safety, regulatory, and quality standards applicable to building and petroleum systems.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
