Project Manager – Cloud Migration

About the role

The Project Manager will lead and oversee cloud migration initiatives, ensuring successful planning, execution, governance, and delivery aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define migration strategy and roadmap, develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
• Act as primary point of contact for business, IT, and vendor stakeholders; facilitate alignment and report status.
• Establish governance frameworks, track progress against scope, budget and timeline, and maintain RAID logs.
• Coordinate application, infrastructure and data migration, environment setup, cut‑over planning and hyper‑care support.
• Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks, manage issue escalation and activate contingency plans.
• Manage cross‑functional teams, onshore/offshore resources and third‑party vendors.
• Track migration budget, monitor cloud consumption, provide financial forecasting and cost optimisation.
• Ensure quality through functional, performance and security testing, coordinate UAT and sign‑offs.
• Utilise migration tools (Azure Migrate, AWS Migration Hub, Google Migrate) and reporting platforms (JIRA, MS Project, Azure DevOps).

Required profile

• Proven experience planning and executing large‑scale cloud migration projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
• Solid understanding of governance, risk, issue and change management.
• Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships and offshore delivery models.
