Project Coordinator – Road Construction (Seasonal)

About the role

Park Paving Ltd., a leading road construction contractor in Edmonton, is seeking a seasonal Project Coordinator to support the day‑to‑day coordination and execution of road construction projects. You will work closely with the project manager, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure projects stay on schedule, on budget, and meet all safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the project manager/superintendent in setting, communicating, and monitoring project timelines.
• Coordinate with construction superintendents and subcontractors to ensure work aligns with contract requirements.
• Collect and verify quantity measurements, test results, and prepare reports for review.
• Monitor project deliverables, budgets, and schedules to ensure compliance.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors; attend site meetings and update stakeholders.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety, traffic, environmental, and occupancy plans.
• Maintain contract document compliance and schedule documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of project management experience in the construction industry.
• Graduate or current student in civil engineering, construction management, or related field (preferred).
• PMP designation is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no major infractions, less than 6 demerits).

Required skills

• Proficiency with project or construction management software.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
