Project Architect

About the role

Kasian is seeking a motivated Project Architect to join its Langley office. You will lead design efforts on wood‑frame multi‑family projects, provide technical expertise, and mentor junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and technologists to deliver high‑quality projects for private‑sector clients.
• Develop project criteria, scopes, work plans, drawing lists, schedules, and resource requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create design concepts, presentation material, and participate in stakeholder meetings.
• Lead, motivate, and manage the project team to produce design and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants (electrical, mechanical, structural) and resolve complex design and technical issues.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure projects meet milestones and budget targets.
• Conduct site reviews and provide construction administration support.

Required profile

• B.Arch or M.Arch from an accredited program.
• Minimum 10 + years of architectural experience, including at least 5 years on wood‑frame multi‑family projects.
• Registration with a provincial architectural regulatory board is a strong asset.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Innovative, forward‑thinking design approach and curiosity about new trends, materials, and construction methods.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to add value at all project stages.
