Program Leader – School Age Childcare (Part‑Time)

About the role

BGC Okanagan is looking for part‑time Program Leaders to join our School Age Childcare team at the Hudson Road Club in West Kelowna, BC. If you are passionate about supporting young children and creating positive experiences, we want to hear from you.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and deliver diverse recreational, social and educational programs.
• Orient new families and members to the program and club.
• Supervise members, ensuring health, safety and wellness.
• Mentor and guide Activity Leaders within the program.
• Build relationships with children, youth and families; maintain open communication with parents/caregivers.
• Transport members using club vans when required.
• Prepare nutritious snacks and meals for members.
• Provide group and individual behaviour management and support.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies, licensing regulations and safety standards.

Required profile

• Education in childcare or experience planning, implementing and evaluating childcare programs.
• At least one year of recent related experience.
• First Aid Certificate and Food Safe certification or willingness to obtain.
• Class 5 driver’s licence and willingness to obtain Class 4.
• Minimum age of 19 years as required by licensing.
• Successful completion of criminal record check and agency screening.
