Academic Tutor – West Kelowna

About the role

Prep Academy Tutors is seeking an enthusiastic Academic Tutor to provide in‑home, personalized support to students in West Kelowna, following the British Columbia curriculum. The role involves delivering supplemental assignments, remedial and enrichment instruction, and maintaining communication with families.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver academic support aligned with the British Columbia curriculum for students aged 4‑20.
• Create and assign supplemental materials to reinforce classroom learning.
• Provide remedial and enrichment tutoring tailored to individual student needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress.

Required profile

• Certified teacher or teacher candidate currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education.
• Registration in good standing with the British Columbia College of Teachers, or equivalent qualification in another Canadian province, the United States, or post‑secondary teaching experience.
• Energetic, enthusiastic and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with students and families.
• Experience teaching or tutoring across a range of subjects.
