Production Operations Manager

About the role

The Production Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing activities to ensure smooth workflow, on‑time delivery and optimal use of resources. This onsite role requires close coordination with production teams, maintenance staff and inventory controllers to keep the plant operating efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Develop production schedules and assign duties to meet output targets.
• Evaluate daily operations and adjust plans to resolve bottlenecks.
• Maintain inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to avoid shortages.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to guide production setup.
• Create equipment maintenance schedules and recommend machine replacements.
• Hire, supervise and train employees on new equipment and production techniques.
• Organise and control inventory, ensuring accurate stock records.
• Plan and manage the departmental budget.

Required profile

• College or CEGEP level education.
• 1 to less than 2 years of relevant experience in production or operations.
• Ability to work onsite full‑time.

Required skills

• Reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Developing equipment maintenance schedules.
