Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join a leading client in Toronto on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on developing and executing innovative sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement category sourcing strategies, lead RFI/RFP events, negotiate contracts, and manage the supplier lifecycle.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align procurement solutions with business objectives and regulatory policies.
• Conduct market research, spend analysis, cost modeling, and risk assessments to identify opportunities and mitigate supply‑chain risks.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing projects, including planning, stakeholder communication, change management, and performance monitoring.
• Develop business cases, dashboards, and performance metrics for senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement by applying best practices, enhancing processes, and providing stakeholder training.

Required profile

• 5‑7+ years of strategic sourcing, supply chain, or procurement experience.
• Post‑secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to build long‑term sourcing strategies and manage complex supplier negotiations.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement processes, procedures, and controls.
• Expert understanding of risk and regulatory requirements relevant to procurement.
• Experience with sourcing in financial services or technology environments.
