Probationary Educational Assistant – Full-time

About the role

The Bruce‑Grey Catholic District School Board is seeking multiple Probationary Educational Assistants to join our schools starting September 2, 2026. In this full‑time position you will support classroom teachers and the principal in delivering a high‑quality instructional programme.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and organise teaching materials and resources.
• Assist with instruction‑related activities and classroom management.
• Provide support services to students as directed by teachers.
• Collaborate with school staff to maintain a positive learning environment.

Required profile

• Completion of a post‑secondary program such as Educational Support Worker, Educational Assistant Certificate, Early Childhood Education, Social Services Worker, Developmental Services Worker, or Child & Youth Worker.
• Meeting the in‑school academic requirements of the Educational Assistant Apprenticeship Program or equivalent.
• Relevant experience approved by the Superintendent of Education.
