Principal Product Manager – Technical (Real‑time Payments)

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Principal Product Manager – Technical to lead the vision and delivery of its real‑time, event‑driven payment platforms within the Reactive Systems Architecture (RSA) organization. You will work closely with engineering teams worldwide to shape high‑throughput, low‑latency payment services that power domestic, cross‑border and bill‑payment transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap for RSA’s event‑driven platforms.
• Translate business requirements into epics, features and user stories with measurable outcomes.
• Partner with application teams to design, build and operate mission‑critical payment applications.
• Ensure scalability, resiliency, observability and security of the underlying architecture.
• Drive adoption of lean product management practices across multiple engineering squads.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in product management for large‑scale, real‑time systems.
• Strong customer focus and ability to understand market dynamics in the payments ecosystem.
• Proven track record of leading cross‑functional, globally distributed teams.
• Deep understanding of non‑functional requirements such as latency, throughput and fault tolerance.
