About the role

Jackson Hewitt is seeking entry‑level, seasonal tax preparers to join its fast‑paced teams across locations. You will guide clients through the tax filing process, prepare accurate federal and state returns, and support any IRS audit inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual tax returns, including year‑end, multi‑year and multi‑state filings.
• Explain tax concepts to clients and answer their questions.
• Submit electronic filings and provide printed copies for client signatures.
• Assist clients with IRS audit support and related documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all tax regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; willingness to learn tax law.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work flexible hours during the tax season.
