General Accounting Associate – Richmond

About the role

OpenRoad is seeking a General Accounting Associate to support its Richmond head‑office dealership. The role involves daily cash handling, warranty posting, and inter‑company accounting tasks in a fast‑growing automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile and post daily cash receipts and warranty payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations for multiple dealership accounts.
• Collect overdue payments and set up charge accounts.
• Execute inter‑company transactions across regions and send monthly AR statements.
• Assist senior accountants with month‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Follow safety policies and report any accidents promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Proven ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately.
• Strong Excel skills with formula usage.
• Understanding of accounting debits and credits.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and able to meet tight deadlines.
