PMO Manager – Professional Services

About the role

MaintainX is seeking a seasoned PMO Manager to lead its Professional Services organization. You will oversee a centralized Project Management Office that ensures enterprise client projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of project managers and solutions consultants delivering professional services.
• Continuously improve PMO processes, methodologies, templates, and tools.
• Partner with Sales, Solutions, and Delivery teams during pre‑sales to define scope, resources, and plans.
• Monitor portfolio performance, utilization, profitability, risks, and delivery metrics.
• Act as escalation point for complex or at‑risk projects and maintain strong client relationships.
• Ensure accurate forecasting, resource planning, and alignment with financial targets.
• Promote knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and best‑practice adoption across engagements.
• Provide coaching, career development, and onboarding for new project managers.
• Maintain compliance with contractual obligations, SLAs, and internal governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years of project/program management experience in professional services or consulting.
• 3+ years in a PMO leadership or people‑management role.
• Project management certification required (PMP or PRINCE2); Agile certifications a plus.
• Experience with professional services automation tools (e.g., Mavenlink, FinancialForce, NetSuite OpenAir) highly desirable.
