Plant Operator – Gas Processing Plant (Alhambra, AB)

About the role

Paramount Resources Ltd. is seeking experienced Plant Operators to run two gas processing plants in the Alhambra area near Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. Reporting to the Senior Plant Foreman, you will ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation of water‑treatment, gas‑processing, and liquids‑handling systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safe operation of water treatment, gas separation, compression, refrigeration, stabilization, and condensate handling for a plant processing 150 MMcf/d of gas and 30,000 bbl/d of condensate.
• Start‑up, operate, and shut‑down plant units, and participate in procedure development.
• Collaborate with construction teams and engineers during plant commissioning.
• Work with maintenance crews to schedule inspections, troubleshoot equipment, and minimise downtime.
• Monitor plant performance via control systems and generate regular operational reports.
• Ensure compliance with ABSA, AER, and environmental regulations, complete incident reporting, and support investigations.
• Identify and implement process optimisation and cost‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid GPO/PFO A‑D certification or Power certification.
• Residency within 70 km of Leslieville, AB.
• Experience in gas‑processing or related plant operations.
