Pharmacy Assistant – Customer Service & Prescription Support

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify the accuracy of prescription information before filling.
• Enter patient care data into the pharmacy system.
• Handle third‑party adjudication when required.
• Accurately dispense prescription medications.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory using stock control systems.
• Respond to over‑the‑counter (OTC) enquiries and refer patients to the pharmacist as needed.
• Manage prescription pick‑up and ensure a smooth customer experience.

Required profile

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an asset.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Proficiency with computer and data‑entry tasks.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
