Pharmacist – Full-time (1.0 FTE)

About the role

The Royal is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join the Brockville Mental Health Centre. This temporary full‑time position (1.0 FTE) operates under a hybrid model, requiring three on‑site days per week to support collaborative medication management across mental health services.

Key responsibilities

• Coach, lead, and mentor pharmacy staff.
• Coordinate drug distribution to ensure accurate, timely medication flow from procurement to dispensing.
• Drive continuous quality improvement aligned with Ontario College of Pharmacists and Accreditation Canada standards.
• Participate in committee work, policy development, and research activities.
• Support medication reconciliation, safety reviews, interdisciplinary rounds, and drug problem resolution.
• Teach and mentor students and other learners.
• Disseminate drug information and contribute to formulary maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, entry‑level PharmD or Advanced Practice degree from a recognized university.
• Completion of a hospital residency or equivalent post‑baccalaureate training as defined by the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
