Patrol Officer II – Campus Security

About the role

The Campus Security Patrol Officer II ensures the safety and protection of people and property across the UBC Point Grey campus. This position provides visible patrols, rapid first‑aid response, and contributes to a welcoming, secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol campus grounds and buildings to maintain safety visibility and deter incidents.
• Serve as the primary mobile responder for all First Aid calls on the Point Grey campus.
• Assess, treat, and provide recommendations within the scope of Occupational First Aid Level 2.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to support campus safety initiatives.
• Document incidents and contribute to threat‑assessment and trauma‑informed practices.

Required profile

• Valid Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 2 certification.
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
• Strong judgment and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and safe campus community.
