Patient Flow Nurse – Virtual Care

About the role

The Patient Flow Nurse supports Teladoc Health’s virtual care platform by ensuring patients move smoothly through scheduling, triage, and follow‑up processes. This registered nurse role blends clinical judgment with coordination skills to deliver timely, high‑quality virtual care.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee virtual appointment scheduling, aligning provider availability with patient preferences.
• Assess patient urgency using CTAS and prioritize visits across sites.
• Collaborate with clinicians to optimize virtual care schedules and share patient‑specific information before appointments.
• Maintain accurate medical records, document visit outcomes, and generate virtual care reports.
• Communicate lab results, including critical values, and ensure continuity of care when patients transition between virtual and in‑person services.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse in good standing with a Canadian governing college.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent experience.
• Experience in fast‑paced environments and familiarity with emergency nursing standards.
• Competence in the Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS).

Required skills

• Proficiency with CTAS triage methodology.
• Knowledge of Emergency Nursing Scope and Standards of Canadian Practice.
