Partnerships Consultant – Government IT Liaison

About the role
The Partnerships Consultant serves as the primary liaison between government departments and the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). Reporting to the Manager of Partnerships, the role supports the identification, prioritisation and delivery of technology services that enable digital innovation across the public sector.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of relationships across government departments, agencies, boards and commissions.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to facilitate the prioritisation of OCIO service requests.
- Provide expert advice to government executives on digital innovation and technology opportunities.
- Act as a trusted technology advisor, championing digital change and ensuring benefits are realised.
- Develop and implement client‑satisfaction criteria and performance measurement tools.
- Coordinate with OCIO executives and branches to align with government‑wide IT/IM policies.
- Collaborate with Digital Transformation Specialists to promote adoption of strategic digital initiatives.
- Guide the development of business cases and support value‑realisation efforts.
- Identify risks, dependencies and resolve issues across departmental portfolios.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Participate in Privacy Impact Assessments and Technology Assessments to ensure compliance.
- Serve as primary point of contact during service disruptions.
Required profile
- Experience collaborating with senior government executives and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple departmental relationships and service requests.
- Strong understanding of digital transformation and public‑sector technology initiatives.
