Part-Time Scheduling Clerk (0.5 FTE)

About the role

The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre is seeking a detail‑oriented Scheduling Clerk to work part‑time (0.5 FTE). You will support program managers by maintaining accurate staff schedules, processing leave requests, and ensuring compliance with collective agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Program Managers to maintain cost‑efficient staffing across designated programs.
• Enter and update data in the UKG staffing system under supervision.
• Generate reports, schedules, and rotations using electronic scheduling software.
• Process staffing requests for leaves, schedule changes, and vacancy tracking.
• Liaise with OHSS and Program Managers regarding leaves, modified work, and accommodations.
• Assist with payroll corrections, timecard generation, and clerical tasks.
• Produce vacation schedules and support annual scheduling blitzes.
• Maintain knowledge of collective agreements and seniority rules.
• Orient new scheduling office staff and uphold a respectful workplace.

Required profile

• OSSD or equivalent.
• Minimum six months recent experience with a computerized staff scheduling system.
• Strong typing and data‑entry abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
