Part-Time Elementary Teacher/Tutor

About the role

Oxford Learning Erin Mills is looking for enthusiastic part‑time teacher‑tutors to support elementary students (Kindergarten to Grade 8) in language and social studies. The role is on‑site, after‑school and evening, and offers the chance to work with up to three students at a time using pre‑planned lessons.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver interactive coaching to up to three students per session.
• Teach both in‑person and online following Oxford Learning’s methodology.
• Complete post‑lesson notes and daily communication updates for each student.
• Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor and encourage student confidence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field (or fourth‑year university student with strong tutoring experience).
• Teaching certification is an asset.
• Good knowledge of the Ontario K‑8 curriculum for English and Math.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.
• Availability for at least two days per week, preferably Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, from September to June.
• Willingness to undergo vulnerable sector screening and commute to Mississauga.
