Undergraduate Academic Assistant – Research Support

About the role

Participate in a socio‑cultural‑ecological pilot study investigating how ecological systems, culture, behaviour, cognitive‑information‑processing styles and psychological temperament interact to influence violent individuals. The role supports literature reviews, data collection and analysis under the supervision of Dr. Edward Taylor.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct complex library, literature and computer media searches, including web and social‑media sources.
• Identify, summarize and analyse findings from articles, documents and social‑media data.
• Collect, manage and analyse data, identifying research variables and performing content analysis.
• Prepare and present research findings, write reports and assist in drafting articles for publication.
• Participate in regular team meetings and collaborate with the team leader and other research assistants.

Required profile

• Registered and enrolled in a second, third or fourth‑year undergraduate degree with good academic standing.
• Experience conducting web and social‑media searches and writing literature reviews.
• Strong reading, comprehension and writing skills.
