Part-Time Elementary Teacher – Toronto

About the role

Oxford Learning Bayview Woods is seeking enthusiastic part‑time teachers to work with elementary students in a supportive learning centre. You will help pupils improve their reading, writing, math and French skills, or assist high‑school learners in subjects such as calculus, physics, chemistry, biology and English.

Key responsibilities

• Teach up to three elementary students (or up to two high‑school students) using pre‑planned lessons.
• Follow Oxford Learning’s proprietary teaching methodology.
• Provide daily communication updates to students and parents and prepare monthly progress reports.
• Create a fun, supportive learning environment with a friendly demeanor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field (or third‑year university student with tutoring experience).
• Availability after school and evenings (3 pm‑8 pm) through the end of the 2026‑27 school year.
• Ability to commute to the Bayview Woods location in Toronto; vulnerable sector screening required.
• Strong knowledge of the K‑12 curriculum; ability to teach French is highly desired.

Required skills

• Proficiency in teaching elementary‑level reading, writing, math and French.
• Capability to tutor high‑school subjects including calculus, physics, chemistry, biology, and English.
