Package Handler / Warehouse Clerk (Part‑Time)

About the role

Join Intelcom | Dragonfly’s fast‑paced Halifax hub as a Package Handler and Warehouse Clerk. You will work in a team‑oriented environment, handling parcels from arrival to dispatch while seeing the direct impact of your effort on delivery performance.

Key responsibilities

• Unload trailers and verify freight against manifests.
• Manually load freight onto conveyors and use powered or manual jacks to organize shipments.
• Arrange sort setups according to the sort plan and operate handheld devices to scan and sort parcels.
• Place packages in designated areas for delivery or line‑haul teams and stage sorted freight for load‑out.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages throughout the hub and middle‑mile areas.
• Validate scanned freight to ensure sorting accuracy and reduce mis‑sorts.
• Perform routine cleaning, housekeeping, and safety inspections.
• Lift items up to 50 lb (23 kg) and complete any additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Physical ability to lift 50 lb repeatedly and stand for long periods.
• Reliability and willingness to work a flexible schedule of at least three days per week, including weekends.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency with handheld scanning devices and basic warehouse technology.
