About the role
Join Canada Post’s dynamic mail operations team in Halifax as a Postal Clerk. This temporary, on‑call position offers flexible scheduling across days, evenings, overnights and weekends, providing a solid introduction to the business of mail handling.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and accept incoming mail items.
- Sort, scan, sequence and batch mail for processing.
- Load and transfer mail onto postal trucks.
- Dispatch parcels and packets to their destinations.
- Complete required reports and documentation.
- Lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb).
- Perform additional postal clerk duties as needed.
Required profile
- No prior experience required; a self‑starter attitude is essential.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Physical capability to lift items up to 22.7 kg.
- English language proficiency (essential).
