Oncology Pharmacist – Temporary Part‑Time (6‑Month)

About the role

This temporary, part‑time position supports oncology patients at the Durham Regional Cancer Centre within Lakeridge Health Oshawa. You will work under the DRCC Pharmacy Manager, providing medication expertise across retail and oncology clinical trial services.

Key responsibilities

• Distribute systemic therapy and dispense retail pharmacy prescriptions.
• Prepare and manage oncology clinical trial medications.
• Maintain accurate drug records and patient profiles.
• Provide drug information and counseling to the oncology team and patients.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and attend multidisciplinary meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and registration (or eligibility) with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Experience in oncology and/or retail pharmacy preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, clinical guidelines, and oncology lab values.
• Excellent clinical assessment and medication‑counseling abilities.
• Self‑directed learner committed to ongoing professional competence.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
