On-Site Service Coordinator – Contract

About the role

The Service Coordinator oversees scheduling and coordination of maintenance and repair services for floor‑cleaning equipment. Working from the head office, this contract role ensures prompt handling of service requests, proper assignment of parts and labour, and accurate record‑keeping to minimise equipment downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Report to the Vice President of Procurement and maintain detailed repair and inspection reports.
• Manage warranty claims, liaise with vendors, and ensure proper follow‑up for warranty repairs.
• Assist the asset manager in tracking company assets and planning repairs.
• Respond to field managers with up‑to‑date status of repair requests.
• Prepare monthly reports and other required documentation.
• Operate the company forklift and perform other duties as needed.

Required profile

• Considerable knowledge of equipment servicing.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external vendors and customers.
• Serve as the primary contact for owners and managers needing timely equipment repairs.
• Maintain the schedule of internal repair technicians.
• Make quick decisions, evaluate situations, and propose solutions.
• Work under tight deadlines with high accuracy and diligence.
