National Account Manager - Ingredients

About the role

The National Account Manager – Ingredients will own the relationship with a portfolio of large, complex global customers for Lactalis Canada’s Ingredients and Export division. The role focuses on driving volume growth, profitability and establishing Lactalis as the preferred dairy ingredient supplier.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of dairy ingredient sales to existing customers and distributors, including product need analysis, pricing negotiations, contract development and forecast communication.
• Develop new business by executing the division’s sales and business‑development strategy at both purchasing and R&D levels.
• Collaborate with technical teams on product development, documentation, packaging, functionality and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with internal support functions (Customer Service, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Credit) to meet day‑to‑day customer needs and resolve quality or delivery issues.
• Lead customer projects such as new ingredient or packaging development, ensuring clear communication across all internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex B2B sales relationships in the food or dairy ingredient sector.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving volume and profit targets.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with technical, supply‑chain and operational teams.
• Excellent negotiation, contract management and customer‑service skills.
