Mobile / React Native Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mobile / React Native Developer to design, build, and maintain high‑quality cross‑platform mobile applications for iOS and Android. The role is based in Toronto and works in a hybrid model (2 days onsite). You will collaborate with product owners, UX designers, backend engineers, and QA teams in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain React Native applications using clean architecture.
• Build reusable, scalable, high‑performance components.
• Integrate mobile apps with RESTful APIs and third‑party SDKs.
• Ensure performance, security, scalability, and reliability of the applications.
• Implement accessibility standards (WCAG / AODA / ADA) and mobile best practices.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver pixel‑perfect interfaces.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, version control, and release processes for App Store and Play Store.
• Assist with SDK upgrades, OS updates, and vulnerability remediation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional mobile development experience.
• Strong background in React Native, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
• Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with secure coding practices, code scanning (SAST/DAST), and handling encryption, authentication, and secure storage.
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimise app performance.
