Mechanical Designer – HVAC OEM Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Designer to join our fast‑growing team at Oxygen8. You will work on HVAC OEM equipment, focusing on energy‑recovery and VRV systems, and help shape both standard and custom product solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Management, Software Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing and Operations on full‑scale modelling and drafting for new products.
• Support product testing, certification and prototype component sourcing, including in‑house assembly.
• Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and assist ERP integration (Epicor).
• Provide detailed product information for software implementation, marketing brochures, renders, 3D‑printed models and IO&Ms.
• Create sales drawings, submittal details and manufacturing documentation such as work instructions and SOPs.
• Adapt standard units for custom applications, managing special production details and custom BOMs.
• Assist operations with production runs and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in HVAC OEM design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with 3D CAD modelling, preferably SolidWorks.
