About the role

Netflix is expanding its ad‑supported model across Canada and needs a seasoned leader to shape the new Ad Sales business. As Manager, Advertising Sales you will guide a growing team, drive operational rigor, and partner with agencies and clients to deliver premium, TV‑like advertising experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute short‑, medium‑, and long‑term growth strategies for the Canadian ad‑sales portfolio.
  • Synthesize market and internal feedback to influence product and operational priorities.
  • Provide competitive insights to sales and operations teams.
  • Ensure rigorous revenue, pipeline, and reporting processes.
  • Maintain and expand agency relationships, unlocking new stakeholder access.
  • Coach senior sellers, onboard new team members, and empower them to achieve business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional groups on multi‑touch sales initiatives.
  • Forecast business performance using top‑down and bottom‑up models.

Required profile

  • 15+ years of advertising sales experience, including 8+ years leading high‑performing sales teams.
  • Deep knowledge of the advertising marketplace and agency/client dynamics in Canada.
  • Proven ability to build cross‑functional partnerships and drive organizational rigor.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Netflix’s product suite and ability to articulate its premium value proposition.
  • Demonstrated negotiation expertise and success selling premium advertising solutions.
