Machine Learning Engineering Expert – Remote, $90/hr

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineering Expert to join our remote team on an hourly contract basis. You will work on cutting‑edge AI research and evaluation projects, building end‑to‑end solutions that reflect real‑world ML workflows and help advance next‑generation AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement complete machine‑learning pipelines for prediction and modeling challenges across tabular, text, image, and time‑series data.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and data preprocessing.
• Train, tune, and evaluate models using appropriate validation strategies and metrics.
• Develop high‑quality reference solutions following industry best practices.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and results to ensure reproducibility.
• Review and validate the technical quality of deliverables produced by the team.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a top‑tier university.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience building, training, and optimizing machine‑learning models in a professional or research setting.
• Strong ability to work independently on open‑ended problems and deliver high‑quality technical solutions.
