Lower Elementary Montessori Teacher (Full-time)

About the role

Elite Montessori School in Mississauga is seeking a dedicated Lower Elementary Montessori Teacher to join its full‑time team. You will work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–4:30 pm, guiding children from ages 2½ to 11 through the Montessori curriculum throughout the September‑June school year.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a comprehensive Lower Elementary Montessori program.
• Observe, document, and assess each child’s learning progress.
• Maintain excellent classroom management, time‑keeping, and organization.
• Build strong relationships with families and involve them in the learning process.
• Collaborate with co‑workers, community partners, and children to create an inclusive environment.
• Ensure safety, equity, and cleanliness of all classroom materials and spaces.
• Host parent evenings and school events such as Science Fairs, International Day, and graduations.
• Prepare and write individual report cards.

Required profile

• Passion for Montessori philosophy and lifelong learning.
• Energetic, resourceful, and creative approach to teaching.
• Formal training in Lower and Upper Elementary Montessori education.
• Current immunizations and First Aid with CPR level C certification.
• Police check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (issued within the last six months).
• References: one professional and one personal.

Required skills

• Ability to implement a Montessori curriculum using recognized frameworks such as AMS, TMI, or AMI.
