Learning and Development Specialist

About the role

Kinross is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist to support the Manager, Learning and Development in delivering training programs and culture initiatives across its Canadian operations. The role will be based in downtown Toronto and will work in a hybrid model, collaborating with corporate HR and site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Manager, Learning and Development in implementing learning programs and initiatives aligned with business priorities.
• Maintain and manage the learning calendar, coordinating training delivery logistics, vendor management, assessments, pre‑work and communications.
• Maintain learning resources such as IDP templates and program materials, and support rollout and tracking of Individual Development Plans.
• Track participation, completion rates and key metrics; gather evaluation data and provide reporting for continuous improvement.
• Support adoption of new learning tools, technologies and process improvements.
• Contribute to culture and engagement strategy, monitor industry trends, and help drive employee engagement and DEI initiatives.
• Assist with the annual global recognition program logistics and develop engagement action plans.

Required profile

• Proven ability to support L&D managers and coordinate training logistics.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills to track metrics and produce insights.
• Experience working with HR teams and site stakeholders.
• Interest in culture, employee engagement and DEI initiatives.
