Lead Coil Tubing Operator

About the role

Sideworx Connect Inc. is seeking an experienced Coil Tubing Lead Operator to supervise crew activities and coordinate schedules on oil and gas rigs in Alberta. The role involves hands‑on operation of BOPs, quads, combiners, and picker equipment while ensuring safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise crew, coordinate schedules, and manage updates or changes.
• Redress BOPs, quads, and combiners; install reels and stabbing tubes.
• Set up picker equipment, complete operational checklists, and perform remote BOP control setup.
• Follow emergency shut‑down procedures and conduct rotating joint inspections.
• Use Element Business Systems (EBS) to close out jobs and complete work orders.
• Attend pre‑job safety meetings and comply with all relevant legislation.

Required profile

• Class 1 or 3 driver’s licence with air‑brake endorsement and a clean driving record.
• H2S Alive and CSO First Aid/CPR certifications.
• Knowledge of truck and equipment safety, maintenance, and permit requirements.
• Strong oral and written communication, high personal integrity, and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and travel to off‑site locations.

Required skills

• Class 1 or 3 driver’s licence with air‑brake endorsement.
• H2S Alive certification.
• CSO First Aid/CPR certification.
• Proficiency with Element Business Systems (EBS) for job close‑out.
