Junior Solicitor – Edmonton West End

About the role

Galbraith Law, a well‑established firm in Edmonton’s west end, is looking for an ambitious Junior Solicitor to join its client‑focused team. You will work alongside experienced lawyers handling real‑estate, estate planning, and corporate matters, providing direct support to clients and senior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of real‑estate transactions from start to finish.
• Meet with clients for estate planning, prepare wills and related documents.
• Serve small‑business clients, drafting contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
• Provide client support during negotiations and deal closures.
• Offer legal counsel on business‑related inquiries and compliance matters.
• Participate in client meetings and liaise with relevant stakeholders.
• Handle administrative tasks typical of a small firm, including quoting and dealing with service providers.
• Manage general and trust funds in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Alberta Bar.
• Two to five years of practising law, preferably with exposure to real‑estate, estates or corporate law.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and effective problem‑solving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
