Junior QA Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Junior QA Analyst to join the Canadian Data Platforms team at Scotiabank. In this role you will support the delivery of high‑quality solutions by performing manual and automated testing, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and contributing to an agile, customer‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manual QA validation and develop automated regression tests for existing code.
• Create and maintain test documentation, analysis reports, and best‑practice guides.
• Collaborate with peers and business partners to understand requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and use tools such as Jira, Confluence and Azure DevOps to track work.
• Provide technical analysis and recommendations for new and existing solutions, focusing on reusable and robust designs.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and self‑motivation with a desire for continuous learning.
• Ability to communicate effectively, influence peers, and work well in a team.
• Problem‑solving mindset with the capacity to understand complex concepts and simplify them.

Required skills

• Python or similar scripting language (asset).
• Experience with Jira, Confluence and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
